Great article!

We are so interested in your ideas about sodium bicarbonate and magnesium chloride.

One Question: is there any advantage in also ingesting potassium bicarbonate and/or calcium bicarbonate (as calcium carbonate or calcium chloride)in a good ratio? Another practitioner whose work I have used in the past puts all four together ... does this make any sense to you?

Thanks again for ALL this great information on this site. We just discovered it a few days ago, and I absolutely cannot wait to get ALL your books. Your "Emergency Medicine" looks like an awesome resource to me.

Your son should not only be taking bicarbonate but also iodine and magnesium chloride. I would make some eye drops with the magneisum chloride doing fifteen to one dilution with pure water. Use only Ancient Minerals magneisum oil for these kinds of sensitive applications. This should help directly with the eyes.

Sodium Bicarbonate for use with colds and flu should be taken at the start of symptoms and the dosages can be found in the sodium bicarbonate and flu essays.

Sodium bicarbonate products can alter normal blood chemistry if used for long periods of time or in excessive doses. Saliva pH should be your guide and a pH of 6.8-7.0 should be your goal. In addition to the use of sodium bicarbonate, dietary changes must be made to maintain a more alkaline condition. Do not rely on sodium bicarbonate alone.nor forl long periods unless under the care of your health care provider or for specific conditions like cancer.

I have opted out of vaccinating my 3 yr old, but he has chronic colds. We just returned from a trip to Argentina, & he has conjunctevitus. I am taking him to the doctor, but would he benefit from taking Baking soda daily to prevent future colds? And, if so, what would the dosage be??

The stomach quickly adjusts its ph to normal after dosing with sodium bicarbonate. it will not make it impossible to digetst your food. unless you are treating acid indigestion, you can take your sodium bicarbonate away from meal times or on a empty stomach.

Dear Dr Sircus....I have a question I do believe Bicarbonate of Soda
will alkalize your body, but it will neutralize your stomach acid, making it impossible to digest our food.
What would you suggest.
