Hidden mercury lurking in Corn Sweetner
High fructose corn syrup, produced using mercury cell chlor-alkali products, can contain up to 0.57 micrograms mercury per gram and this source may need to be considered when accounting for mercury in the diet...

Mercury cell chlor-alkali products are used to produce thousands of other products including food ingredients such as citric acid, sodium benzoate, and high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is used in food products to enhance shelf life.

NHK WORLD News (Japan) - Wednesday, January 26, 2011 Recently NHK aired a story on Minamata disease that was first discovered in Minamata city in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan in 1956. It was caused by the release of methyl-mercury in the industrial wastewater from the Chisso Corporation's chemical factory, which continued from 1932 to 1968. This highly toxic chemical bio-accumulated in shellfish and fish in Minamata Bay and the Shiranui Sea, which when eaten by the local populace resulted in mercury poisoning. While cat, dog, pig, and human deaths continued over more than 30 years, the government and company did little to prevent the pollution.

Comment: UN Mercury Treaty Talks Begin in Japan and yet the use of mercury in vacci-NATIONS continues unabated.
