My mothers; foster mother never missed a meal every day; without drinking a 2 cup ( enamile ) of baking soda water after her meals. She lived to be 80 yrs without any medications. I believe that she succumbed to a heart attack & likely had she known about magnesium she would have made it a few more years. She was born with a lymphatic disorder called elephantitis from the neck to her toes so she had many challenges. She was a year in age behind the current year at the time of her passing. We are so informed for quite some time because of doctors like Dr Sircus what a blessing. Thank you for the news & wonderful information. Ellen

Dear Jerry,
One Tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate in an 8 oz glass of water 2x/day is an awful lot and almost reaches the limits of the safe doses recommended . Start with 1/2 tsp. in an 8 oz glass of water twice a day. Should you need more, you will need to consult with Dr. Sircus privately as the amounts will depend on many things, including your size, weight, and degree of renal insufficiency. Make sure to eat a more alkaline diet, too.

Would you recommend 1 tablespoon of baking soda in an 8 oz glass of water 2x a day would be enough for someone who is dealing with renal insufficiency?
or do you have a recommended amount?
thanks Jerry Emm
