Consultation
Dr. Sircus is available for personal consultations. He is a medical professor as well as a communication and perceptual psychologist and can instruct both patients and practitioners in his revolutionary methods as well as respond to peoples’ emotional and spiritual needs on request.
In the Protocol Orientation Center you will soon find a video e-book called Consultation presenting what has been Dr. Sircus’s first consultation he has been doing with people; where he teaches the basics and practical aspects of administering his protocol; including detailed instruction to the critical aspect of administering appropriate dosages. Consultations revolving around health and medical issues include this video though it can be purchased separately.
Consultation Fee is 250 dollars an hour which can be broken down into two sessions.
On his Online Clinic site you can find much more information about his one month programs where you can consult on a daily basis if necessary and also see his product recommendations for his protocol items. There you can also see his essay called Home Hospitals. The video e-book Consultations gives the instructions for setting up field hospitals in ones very own home to treat serious diseases and is appropriate even for Palliative and Hospice care. Depending on the presenting situation these one month programs can be stretched out to several months of guidance and consultation.

How can I find out how much sodium bicarbonate to take orally?
Hi, I am a faithful reader of your letters, and now I have a friend whose wife has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has been operated on but they can’t get it all out, and they have said she has about 8 months left to live. There is metastasis in a couple of small spots.
I want to pass on any advice that can help them. I have your information on bicarbonate of soda, but I am wondering do you do consultations in Spanish? If so I will tell him because he will do anything and go anywhere if he can help her.
Thanks,
Les Serff
PS. I forgot to mention that the reason I am asking about Spanish consultations is that we are living in Spain.
Les, right now consultations are only done in English or Portueguese.
There is no “pat” answer………….you have to be guided by your saliva pH and it also depends on what you are attempting to do, general alkanization, cancer treatment, treatment of colds and flu etc.
TAKING PURE SODIUM BICARBONATE (NO ALUMINIUM) ORALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF CANCER YOU HAVE. IF IT IS STOMACH, UTERUS, OK.
1 TSP A DAY WITH 1 1/2 TSP OF MAPLE SYRUP MIXED IN ON THE STOVE WARMED SO IT BECOMES FUZZY. FOR A FEW DAYS THEN INCREASE TO 1 TSP TWICE A DAY FOR NO MORE THAN 6 DAYS. STOP FOR SIX DAYS THEN START AGAIN. DO THIS FOUR TIMES. OTHER CANCERS HAVE TO HAVE IV INFUSIONS.
TUMORS NEAR THE SKIN NEED INJECTIONS OF SODIUM BICARBONATE DIRECTLY INTO THEM IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WORK. SEE SIMONCHINI WORK. http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/
Not really Sharon,
Sodium Bicarbonate used orally in most types of cancer will help. Please read my book Rich Mans Poor Mans Cancer Treatment to learn more about this.

I have been taking 1200 mg magnesium (typically -glycinate, but in most recent five days or so, -glycinate) for the past four months. In addition, about a week ago I used some Ancient Minerals Ultra Pure Magnesium Oil (according to the directions) for a several days. I began to experience some severe, generalized and unrelenting itching. Attributing it to the magnesium oil, I stopped using it, but continued my oral magnesium. The severe itching has continued for five days now. Would you attribute this phenomenon to the mag oil and/or oral supplementation? Can I expect the itching to resolve soon?
Some people, Julie, initially experience some skin irritation like itching when first using the magnesium oil. Your body will adjust but you can dilute the mag oil by one half with pure water for awhile. Or better yet, put the oil in a bath where the dilution is greater and you won’t notice this. If spraying onto your skin, be sure to wash it off after 20-30 minutes, or jump in the shower.
Dr. Mark
Thank you, Dr. Mark. I must also mention that the severe itching is not just on the areas where I’ve applied the mag oil (arms and legs only), but also on other areas (e.g. terrible on feet and palms of hands and fingers, as well as buttocks and abdomen). Does this information make any difference in your assessment?
Thanks very much.
Julie
Not really Julie.
cut back on the amount you are using and diulute it to see if that helps.
Dr. Mark
Dear Mark Sircus:
Thank you so much for your websites and for offering simple solutions for health problems. I am 49 and have had asthma since age 19. I also have low blood sugar at times and wonder if this could be connected to the asthma. I am currently having a little kidney trouble too as my ankles are swelled up a little. Does your Sodium Bicarbonate book offer self-help for health restoration for these problems? Does the book include information for ordering the products you describe?
Thank you so much for your time and expertise,
Nancy, Illinois
Nancy,
A list of the products that I endorse can be found on my Natural Allopathic site : http://naturalallopathic.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=41&Itemid=117
For information on Sodium Bicarbonate and Magnesium Bicarbonate dosages please see the Sodium Bicarbonate E-Book, and for information on iodine dosages see:

Swollen ankles (edema) can also be an indicator of problems with circulation to the legs, or of heart problems. Magnesium Chloride also will help alleviate asthsma and will improve circulation from the heart and throughout the body, so get some of the Ancient Minerals Magnesium OIl from LL’s Magnetic Clay and start using that. http://www.magneticclay.com/
Make sure to work with your health care provider to determine the cause of your edema.

Hi doctor
Just wanted to know is sodium bicarbonate harmful with people under medication for high B/P and Thyroid.Iam taking 1/4 tsp in warm water once a day for precaution.Pls advice
Thanks
poonam
Poonam,
Some studies show that sodium bicarbonate does not raise blood pressure the way sodium chloride does. But you should monitor your bloodpressure and watch for changes. Also make sure to make dietary changes to lower bloodpressure and don’t rely on sodium bicarbonate alone.
Dear Dr. Sircus, We are becoming familiar with your wonderful books.
We would like to ask your recommendations to strength the immune system.
Thanks in advance for your time.
All of my protocol will strengthen the immune system: Magnesium chloride, iodine, sodium bicarbonate, sun exposiure everyday for Vit D and a host of other things that you would have to read about in my books.
Dr. Mark
I USE MAGNESIUM OIL AND I SPRAY IT ON MY BODY AFTER A SHOWER.
AT FIRST I HAD STINGING, BUT USED A BODY LOTION THAT HAS NO FRAGRANCES OR A LOT OF CHEMICALS ON IT. LIKE BAG BALM OR OLIVE OIL.
I HAVE THE LEFT SIDE OF MY HEART THAT WAS DYING AND DOCTOR TOLD ME
8 YEARS AGO THAT I WOULD BE DEAD WITHIN 9 MONTHS IF I DID NOT GET A
HEART BYPASS. I REFUSED AND NOW MY LEFT SIDE OF MY HEART IS WORKING
FINE. THE MAGNESIUM OIL HAS HELPED A LOT. IT ALSO SOFTENS MY SKIN I LOVE IT.
I ALSO USE THE NASCENT IODINE FOR MOUTH SORES. THE DENTIST NEARLY POISIONED ME WITH HIS NEW,WONDERFUL NEW PRODUCT FOR MY DENTURE AND
I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE A STROKE BUT I USED IODINE AND IT WORKED WITHIN 36 HOURS THE SWELLING WAS GONE AND I ALSO HAD A BLOOD CLOT
THAT TOOK LONGER, BUT I AM FINE NOW.
THANK YOU
My husband was diagnosed with advanced unretractable(metastised)stomach cancer. He is 37 and has undergone 3 cycles of uneffective chemo. Can he take the oral sodium bicarbonate mixed with maple syrup?
Sure he can try it. Let us know his progress!
Dr. Mark
Dear Dr. Mark,
I’m delighted that I came across your medical protocol work, and I love your non-medical content newsletters too. In general, I find your attidudes to life and wellbeing most admirable.
I now regularly take Sodium Bicarbonate in a glass of water, a little Iodine either on the skin or a tablet of 100mcg, and use Dead Sea Salt hand/footbaths. I’ve no illnesses that I’m aware of, I’m just being kinder to my body. I wish I’d known years ago what I know now, then maybe my mother and brother would still be with me (both of whom died of cancer in their 40′s).
So, I’m just writing to say a big thank you! It’s wonderful the work you are doing. Don’t ever doubt the positive impact you, and others like you, are having in this world.
Best wishes,
Shirley.

My brother has extra pulmonary small carcinoma with the primary in the esophagus. Was wondering if we would be able to purchase your books Rich Man Poor mans cancer and winning the fight with cancer in book form, as they do not have a computer?
Dear Erma
right now those books are only available as E-books.
Soon Magnesium Medicine will be available in soft cover.
You could have the ebooks printed out and then taken to a local office supply house for binding.
Dear IMVA staff
I’m 67 and have been unwell for some time. I have been using Ancient minerals for the 3 weeks and reading Mark Sircus latest book. I would like to have access to chelorex [metal chelation]
Is it available in Australia and is their someone that could help me with some information re the best way to take it tablet or liquid and for how long.
Thanking you…..Judi

Hi, I had a lumpectomy 4 years ago, lymph nodes removed… Who do i go to for bicarbonate help? Am I supposed to get it intravenously? I take baking soda baths. Oh,,, I just read about drinking it in water…. Guess I’ll have to read your book.
Dr Sircus:
thank you thank you thank you thank you and God Bless you infinitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: 10 years on strict detox diet, raw foods, cultured veg, green, green and more green. Fresh juice. Soaked nuts, seeds. (No dairy, no beans, no wheat, no pasta, no bread, no honey, no sugar, no regular American food, no coffee, no alcohol…etc) Yes to meditation, yoga, light exercise, and still: CFIDS, CF, test positive for Lupus, Candida, fungal & viral infections. Lymph and circulation difficulties. Kidneys & liver points light up and burn when I eat. Progress…yet the physical is still a struggle. I shall read your book. Expect to hear from me after I do some more work! GOD BLESS YOU for helping so many who will not likely obtain the healing guidance, and treatment they deserve through major medical established institutions. Words are inadequate. THANK YOU, Dr Sircus!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
I just wanted to say to people who get the itch in their skin after using the transdermal oils, to apply an essential oil such as calendula or carrot seed oil mixed in a sweet almond or grapeseed oil carrier oil and this will help. Another one is tea tree oil. Also after prolonged use of the transdermal oil the rash/itch will fizzle out to just a slight tingle.
I have a severe Iodine allergy ( shellfish, dyes used in tests ).
I am assuming that it is not safe for me to take iodine internally; but would it be safe for me to use Iodine on a skin cancer lesion?
Thanks,
Deborah
Deborah,
Dr. Sircus talks about iodine allergies in his book on Iodine. Some people who are allergic to iodine, do fine with nascent iodine. The only way to know for sure would be for you to try it and see what happens.
Sincerely,
Claudia French RN, LPHA
Read and loved your book, Mark. I have a question: my dad is 87 years old and suffers from (among other things) lumber stenosis which is giving him a lot of grief. He has consulted far and wide for an answer and so far no results. Is it a case of age and gravity and there is no treatment to help, or is there something that can help? I have started him on magnesium chloride and he said he would ‘try it for a few days’. He is very stubborn. He has been taking magnesium supplements for a while with no result and takes a variety of other supplements. He tried the magnesium oil gel for a while but gave it to me because he didn’t think it was doing him much good. Doctors and natural therapists alike all say there is nothing save pain relief or surgery as an option. Any ideas?
sincerely
Marcia

Dear Marcia,
Bone disorders are difficult to treat. You might want to consider not only magnesium oil treatments, but also sodium thiosulfate use. Somehow the narrowing of the spinal cord must be reduced. Often this narrowing is due to calcium deposits in the spine, especially in older people which sodium thiosulfate will address. See Dr. Sircus’ essay on sodium thiosulfate.

Hello, for me this is knew, I took bicarbonate 2 days in a row, half a glass of water and a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, and now my mouth is swallen inside, my gums, and some parts of my internal lips, is this normal? does it have to do with my ph? I decide to take it, cause I received an email, talking about you and the sodium bicarbonate, where it also said that it was good for gases, and bad digistion…. I am now wondering what’s going on?” Thanks you Dr.Sircus, I really hope to hear from you, God Bless you and your Staff.
Alina
Hi,
could you please advise me how much Nascent iodine to use transdermally for my 10 yr old autistic son? or would it be better to take internally? I will be using it alongside transdermal magnesium chloride.
Many thanks,
Jacquie
Jacquie,
Nascent iodine is designed to be taken orally…just mix a few drops in water and drink it. Maintenence for healthy adults is about 5 drops per day. You may need to consult with Dr. Sircus for more specifics regarding your son.

Dear Dr. Sircus,
I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. They still need to do an MRI to see what else is there, if anything.
I initially gone for a biopsy because they see a nodule on my right breast. It turned out they got sample tissue from other areas and that’s what’s showing as cancer and they still don’t know what that nodule is. They say the cancer they found they have caught it incidentally and early.
I don’t want to have to go through surgery or much less chemo.
Is it possible to start on baking soda treatments right away?
Thanks,
Carolina
Dear Carolina,
You need to read Dr. Sircus Book, Rich Man Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment. You can start on sodium bicarbonate right away and you need to use iodine also, both topically and orally. This book is available at: http://publications.imva.info/index.php/e-books/sodium-bicarbonate-rich-man-s-poor-man-s-cancer-treatment-e-book.html
Make sure you get some pH testing strips and test your saliva and urine each day to help you determine your bicarbonate needs.
You should also be thinking about using iodine both topically and orally.
Sincerely,
Claudia French RN, LPHA
Thank you so much Claudia! I will get his book right away! Do you know if I can find it at Barnes and Noble or any local book store?
I was just looking on Barnes and Noble website and didn’t have it online.
I want to be able to go pick it up so I can start right away!
Let me know.
Thanks,
Carolina
Hi Claudia!
I just realized that the link you provided sells the e-book version.
Great!
Thanks again!
Carolina
Dear Claudia,
I started the baking soda this morning. Haven’t found the strips yet. How do I know what the normal pH should be, is it mentioned on the box of strips?
When you say that I should think about using iodine, are you talking about Nascent iodine? Is this also mentioned on the Rich man’s Poor man’s book?
Thanks for your help!
Carolina
Dear Carolina,
You should first get the pH strips which should be available from any health food store or on the Internet.
Information about pH, normal values and whats needed to treat cancer are available in the Rich Man’s Poor Man’s cancer book, on the bicarbonate site: http://sodiumbicarbonate.imva.info/ and information about the iodine to use is also on the iodine site and in the Iodine book. See: http://iodine.imva.info/index.php/iodine-facts/iodine-cancer-and-fibrocystic-disease/
Sometimes Nascent Iodine is recommended, sometimes Lugols, and sometimes the oral form in higher doses is needed for cancer treatment. You can read more about iodine dosages at: http://iodine.imva.info/index.php/iodine-dosages/ where it discusses dosages for breast cancer as recommended by prominent iodine doctors.
There is a wealth of information on all of Dr. Sircus’ sites and it would be a good idea for you to explore them all. They are listed at the top of each page of any one of the sites. If you don’t find the answers you are looking for you might want to contact Luciana Valentim at [email protected] to set up a personal consultation with Dr. Sircus.
Take your time and don’t panic!!!!
Best wishes to you!
Claudia French RN, LPHA
Dear Dr. Sircus,
I am just writing to let you know what a Godsend the transdermal magnesium chloride has been in my life.
About 2 years ago I started having neurological and other medical symptoms. I was having numbness/tingling in my extremeties, tremor, muscle cramps, twitches & fasciculations, spinal tremor (at night when overly tired), vibrating nerves, shooting nerve pain, anxiety, insomnia and heart palpitations. As a mother of 3 young children, I was greatly concerned about my own mortality and saw numerous physicians and spent thousands of dollars on medical tests, to no avail.
I stumbled onto the transdermal magnesium and saw improvement; slowly at first, but after a month of treatment my symptoms were greatly diminished. I continue to use it daily and have absolutely no symptoms as long as I continue with the magnesium.
I do however have a few quick questions for you:
1. I use 7-8 sprays per foot (no skin irritation for me on the feet), 2x/day. That could be up to 24 sprays per day. Whenever I back off too much (under 20 sprays), my symptoms return. Should I have toxicity concerns? Am I using too much?
2. Should I have my magnesiums levels tested? Should I have my BUN and creatinine to assess kidney function?
Thank you for your time and expertise!
Michelle
Follow-up to my previous query:
My math wasn’t so good on Question #1–that would be 32 sprays/day.
Looking forward to your response,
Michelle
Thanks Claudia!
I started reading Rich Man’s Poor Man’s cancer book! It’s amazing!
I realized that I should have gotten the pH test strips first but wanted to start with the treatment right away. I have ordered the strips and will arrive in a couple of days.
I’ll check the iodine link to read about the dosages. I’m ordering that next.
Thank you so very much for your help!
God Bless!
Carolina
Hi Michelle,
So glad to hear of your improvement with the use of Magnesium OIl. With magnesium oil there is no need to be absolutely precise about dosage. If your kidneys are functioning well there will be no risk of using too much as the kidneys will excrete any excess. And since this method bypasses the stomach, there will be no diarrhea like there is with oral magnesium supplements. Spray bottles are different and will deliver a different amount per sprayer. You could fill a similar spray bottle with water and then measure out what is delivered in 32 sprays/day. If it is 1-2 oz this is good and should not cause toxicity concerns.
A good indicator of what you need, is the fact that when you back off of the amount used, old symptoms return.
You can have your magnesium levels tested, but don’t get a serum mag level. Since the blood only carries about 1% of the body’s magnesium, and the body tightly regulates to keep this amount in the blood, a deficiency would have to be very severe to show up there. There’s a number of other ways to test for mag levels in the tissues and these are described in the first edition of Transdermal Magnesium Therapy. Better to get a red blood cell magnesium test or the Exatest. It never hurts to have a BUN or Creatinine test (blood tests) to ensure good kidney function. These tests are routine in most bloodwork.
Sincerely,
Claudia French RN, LPHA

Dear Dr Sircus,
In 2008 I was perscribed antipsychotic drugs for a mental health condition. Two months later I had the following symptoms: excessive weight gain (which is continuing to this day, my body won’t lose weight), hair loss, loss of feeling for hunger and thirst. The weight gain is not from overeating; due to loss of hunger I eat 2 healthy meals or less a day. I have had all the test for thyroid, sex hormones, cortisol, and the doctors or naturopaths can’t find anything. In May 2010 I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis.
I’m interested in your comments.
By the way thank you for the good work you are doing.

Dr Sircus,
I have started the baking soda treatment with blackstrap molasses.
I’ve been planning to start the lemonade diet as a cleansing but wanted to ask you if that would interfere with the treatment because of the acidity in lemons and the sugar in grade B maple syrup which are the ingredients of this cleanse, as well as a dash of cayenne pepper.
I don’t want to do anything that could mess up my treatment. If the cleanse is not recommended, I’ll wait to do it later.
Please let me know.
Regards!

Dear Dr Sircus
My 3 year neice is experiencing symptoms, which we think may be the early stages of developing into lekeumia: sore eyes, recurrent skin infection, recurrent fever, pale skin, irritable more than normal, tired more than normal.
The doctor didn’t do any tests, examined her and said there’s nothing wrong.
I’m interested in your comments.

Dear Dr Sircus
I am on warfrin for atrial fibrillation. Would I benefit from Magnesium oil?
Its difficult as I’m not allowed to eat green vegetables. Would Regenerate Plus be of benefit?
Crissie
Crissie,
Absolutely you would benefit from Magnesium oil and from Rejuvenate Plus.
Dr. Sircus named his book The Ultimate Heart Medicine because Magnesium is so important to heart health, and especially to atrial fibrillation.
Go to the cardiology site at: http://naturalallopathiccardiology.com/cms/ and begin to read how magnesium can help you.

Carolina,
Lemon juice actually turns alkaline in the body. So there would be no conflict there.
Sincerely,
Claudia French RN, LPHA
Jane,
It is impossible to render an opinion or a diagnosis based on the little information you have provided. It would not hurt to increase magnesium levels in your niece as well as iodine levels which are often low in children. But the symptoms you describe could be indicative of a great many diseases. Hypothyroid is one other possibility as would be diabetes. Keep a close watch on her and make sure to report any other symtoms or worsening of symptoms to your doctor.
Sincerely,

Dear Dr Sircus,
My pH level is getting pretty high, 8 or 8+. Always higher on urine than saliva. I have been taking it for about 6 days now. How do I know when to stop? I’m taking now 2 teaspoons a day (1/2 teaspoon every 2 hrs.and blackstrap molasses). I was getting nervous to take more than that.
Please let me know.
My iodine hasn’t arrived yet but will start that as soon as I get it.
God Bless!

Dear Dr. Sircus.
My 13 yr old niece has leukemia. I am unsure of exact type, but know that it is one of the worse ones, where it is found in the spinal fluid as well as normal blood. She had chemo and went into remission and then approx 6 months later it ‘returned’. She has had chemo treatment again, and has received a bone marrow transplant 1 wk ago. She is very sick and I am very worried about her. I have looked through Dr Simoncini’s websites and read your websites and emails that have been sent to me, I can find no information that directly relates to Leukemia. Are the sodium bicarbonate treatments usable for Leukemia? Where could I find more information for treating Leukemia, with Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium etc. I know the books you have available, but do they have info on Leukemia and actual treatment advice for it?
Thank you
Yvette.
Hi,
I found this information on the web, and interested in your view.
“People with severe heart disease (such as high-grade atrioventricular block) should not take magnesium unless under the direct advice of a physician.”
Jen
Hi Jen,
Any changes in treatment, including self treatment should always be done under the supervision of a qualified medical professional.
Magnesium is a calcium channel blocker so if heart blockage is already present, care must be taken to not make this worse, and a careful balance between calcium and magnesium must be observed. Please see Dr. Sircus’ book on Magnesium, the Ultimate Heart Medicine for more information. http://naturalallopathiccardiology.com/cms/Sincerely,

Hi Janie,
Magnesium has terrific benefits for stroke prevention and atrial fibrillation. There is a great deal of information about this in the magnesium books and on the magnesium site. You might want to start using transdermal magnesium as soon as possible. Iodine and sodium bicarbonate would also be benficial in your condition.

Hi,
I have colon cancer. I heard Sodium Bicarbonate may assist.
Sue
Dear Sue,
So sorry to hear about your colon cancer. First thing to do is get the sodium bicarbonate book by Dr. Sircus available at: http://sodiumbicarbonate.imva.info/
Then consider a consultation with Dr. Sircus to get onto his protocol using sodium bicarb, iodine and magnesium chloride.
Best of Luck to you in your battle against cancer.

IMVA
Dear Chris,
Unfortunately there are not a lot of studies being done on natural substances like magnesium oil.
Dr. Norman Shealy who was the original formulator of magnesium oil for transdermal use, did a small study a number of years ago with extremely impressive results which showed the remarkable efficacy of absorption through the skin. He did this study using body spraying of magnesium oil and footbaths.
You can see a copy of this study and the results obtained on the Ancient Minerals website at: http://www.ancient-minerals.com/transdermal-magnesium/

I have arthritis in my feet and legs, lower back is stiff and a bit of pain there too.
It is getting more painful to walk and my feet are swollen.
I was interested if any of the products would assist this condition?
Thank you
Jeanie
Dear Jeanne,
Magnesium oil is very beneficial for arthritis sufferers. You can use it as a body spray and in a bath. It giives tremendous pain relief. You can purchase it from LL’s Magnetic Clay and its called Ancient Minerals Magnesium oil or bath flakes. Use it daily. Spray on about 1-2 oz on your arms, legs and trunk, or put about 1 lb. of bath flakes into a bath 3 x week.
You can learn more about magnesium oil at our Magnesium For Life website: http://magnesiumforlife.com/

Dear Doctor Sircus
I have been reading the book: Transdermal Magnesium, and thought I would contact this website for advice.
After reading the first chapter of the book, I thought I would check my magnesium levels, and to my amazement it was at a chronic depleted level e.g. out of 7, my level was 6.
Is it possible to receive advice on the best and quickest way to incease magnesium levels.
Thank you
Toni
Hello Dr Sircus
I have a pre cancerous condition, e.g. a build up of collagen, low mineral levels, inflammation through out.
The thermography scan showed areas of concern in the bowel area, and gastro intestional tract.
I am interested in what you would suggest to improve the body’s condition.
Regards
Sandra
Dear Doctor Sircus
Further to my earlier post. I wanted to add that the test I had for magnesium was for ‘serum magnesium’. After reading earlier posts on this site, I believe there is a difference.
Thanks
Toni
Toni,
When serum levels show low magnesium the situation is serious as this is the last place magnesium is removed from . You need to quickly raise your levels and we would recommend daily spraying and foot or body soaks with Ancient Minerals from LL’s Magnetic Clay. (and its on sale right now). It has been shown by studies done by Dr. Shealy that this is a much faster way to increase magnesium levels in our bodies, than taking oral magnesium can do. Keep reading the magnesium book you have for more information and if you feel you still need guidance you can contack us for a consultation with Dr. Sircus.
Sincerely,
Claudia French

I have atherosclerosis which was caused due to psychotrophic drugs which I took for a year. I have been off them for 2.5 yrs and regained my mental health through nutritional supplements, but unfortunately I am left with this condition. It has affected my brain with narrowing of cartoid arteries therefore I am experiencing some short term memory, slowed thinking, some general forgetfulness, some unusual mood changes (e.g. irritability}. I am wondering is this conditon reversible, I am 50 yrs. I am worried I will have a stroke, or that there may already be some dying of the brain cells.
Thank you
Liz
Dear Liz,
Many neurological problems are associated with magnesium deficiencies, as are many mood disorders. Carotid artery stenosis has also been associated with magnesium deficiencies. You should read more about this on our sites and start using magnesium oil . You might be surprised at the improvements.
Dear Doctor
A friend told me about your website and suggested I may have a magnesium deficiency.
About 10 years ago I had a hip replacement because the femar was dying. Then a few years later I had cortisone injections in my knees which were painful. Recently I had another cortisone injections in my left shoulder joint due to pain. I have arterial fibrillation and am on warfarin [since Sep 2008] and cartizan for high blood pressure, and ventalin and symbicort for asthma. I had a small stroke last Dec and have since recovered with some cognitive decline. I want to stop taking warfarin because it creates stress for me to continue to get blood tests and I have to watch what I eat, and get upset when the reading is out of range, but the specialist insists I continue to take it. I have chronic indigestion and I can’t take herbs because they interfer with the warfarin. Last Nov I found I passed black stools, but it has resumed back to normal colour.
What are your thoughts please.
Frances [78yrs]
Dear Frances,
Magnesium may help you in a number of ways. Not only can deficiency be causing some of the problems you describe, but magnesium can also be very helpful to the pain you experience and to your asthma. Magnesium can often stop atrial fibrillation. It woulld be good if you could start reading the information on our sites and in the books on magensium that Dr. Sircus has written. See: http://publications.imva.info/ and see our site Magnesiumforlife at: http://magnesiumforlife.com/ for starters.
Get some magnesium oil from LL’s Magnetic Clay and either apply it transdermally (1 oz. per day as a body rub) or put some in a bath. You may notice some positive changes within days of starting this.
Hi,
I have the a number of health problems. Overweight [due to drugs] which caused the following problems: high cholestrol, plaque build up, heart problems, vascular problems in legs, edema, poor eye sight, dementia: dizzy a lot, poor memory; increased aging in short period of time, high chance of stroke; incontinence, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistent.
Is it possible to improve these problems?
Will magnesium help any of these problems?
Thank you
Trisha
Dear Trisha,
Yes Magnesium can help with all of these problems. Please look carefully at our magnesium website at: http://magnesiumforlife.com/ and buy a bottle of Ancient Minerals Magnesium oil and try it out and let us know what difference it makes.
Hi – I have high blood pressure: 50/100, I had a stressful situation which brought on an asthma attack also. Blood pressure is usually 22-30/85-90. I am 4 stone overweight due to medication with insulin resistence, metabolic syndrome, arthritis. What would you suggest?
Fiona
Dear Fiona,
The blood pressures you quote are not making sense for high blood pressure. Did you mean 100/50 instead of the other way around? If so this would still be a very low blood pressure, certainly under 120/80 which is what the doctors like to target. Magnesium would help with the insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and arthritis , but might lower your blood pressure too much. You might want to start reading all about magnesium on our magnesium for life site: http://magnesiumforlife.com/
Dear Sir
Re: cardiac arrhythmia and blood clotting
What would you recommend. I am interested in purchasing Dr Sircus’s book, which one addresses these conditions please.
Thank you
Sandy
Dear Sandy,
Magnesium is helpful for cardiac arrythmia and clotting. This is addressed primarily in the Transdermal Magnesium Book, (second edition currently at the publisher) or in the e-book Magnesium The Ultimate Heart Medicine available at: http://publications.imva.info/
Hi,
I would like to know how I can stop the spread of spider veins on my legs, especially lower leg.
I have been spraying Mg oil on the veins and massaging. This gives me rash too.How much should I use?
Any other nutrient that can help?
Will it help disappear eczema scars on my legs?
Can Mg oil be used on face for pigmentation left by dry skin/burn?
I have to say thank you for your teachings and solutions.
I just came upon your site today. I have been using mg oil for the last few months after doing research on cardiac palpitations, because I used to suffer from this.
Chris,
Spider veins are often a sign of venous insufficiency.
Risk factors for spider veins are similar to those for varicose veins – age, heredity, pregnancy, hormonal changes, obesity and extended periods of standing – as well as sun exposure, particularly in fair-skinned people, and injuries to the skin surface. Some physicians believe that exercise, weight loss and the wearing of support hose and flat shoes instead of high heels can reduce the incidence of spider veins. Eat less salt
Over time Magnesium applications should also help. Apply daily, about 1 oz. to the legs. Divide this amount up between 203 doses. This will help increase the blood flow in the lower blood vessels. If you are getting a rash, dilute the mag oil with water till no rash occurs. You may then apply more oiften than once a day. Rinse off after about 20-30 minutes.
Magnesium probably will not reduce scarring .
Alina,
You probably took too much at one time. Generally you shouldn’t take more than 1/2 tsp bicarbonate at any one time and it is generally recommended that people take 1/4 tsp in water. You can try again at a much lower dose and see if you get any type of reaction, try 1/8 tsp in some water . And do check your ph daily to make sure it is not going over 7.3 which can bring on problems from alkalosis.
Dear Doctor,
I had ovarian cancer III stage.(operation total 2009 December, chemotheraphy 9 courses)I would like to try sodium bicarbonate. Is it useful in my case?
Thanks,
Audrey
Dear Audrey,
Sodium Bicarbonate is used as a treatment and not a preventative for cancer, so it depends on whether or not your cancer is active again?
I was using sodium bicarbonate (aluminum free) for deodorant and developed a very nasty rash under my arms. Should I assume that because I am allergic topically to it that I would also be allergic to taking it orally? Is there anything that can replace sodium bicarbonate in its healthful effects?
Thanks for your time.
Tina,
Try using some magnesium oil on your underarms. This is also very effective and a good waY of introducing some magnesium iinto your body. However do not apply immediately after shaving.
Which of your books would you recommend for a 5 year old girl who has sulfur poisoning and whose skin is so affected by the dermatitis, it is dry, cracked, and bleeding continually?
The “specialists” have recommended bleach baths and cortisone shots (need any more be said about the terrors of pediatric medicine?), but I feel your books/info may be helpful, if you can point me to the right one.
Thanks.
Dear Coll,
While Dr. Sircus has not written specifically about sulfur poisoning , his entire protocol should be very helpful for your daughter. Especially sodium bicarbonate baths to detoxify from the poisoning.
We would really need more information on how your child was exposed to the point of poisoning before specific recommendations could be made on the most appropriate book, but for starters the principles in the sodium bicarbonate book, the medical bath book and the magnesium book should all be helpful to you. If you feel that these are not enough, please consider a private consultation with Dr. Sircus.
Is the correct to have the sodium bicarbonate-maple syrup orally, in the following fashion:
1 tbs sodium bicarbonate and 3 tbs maple syrup mixed in a glass of water (room temperature).
please reply.
Dear Aditya,
This treatment is a combination of pure, 100% maple syrup and baking soda and was first reported on the Cancer Tutor site. When mixed and heated together, the maple syrup and baking soda bind together. The maple syrup targets cancer cells (which consume 15 times more glucose than normal cells) and the baking soda, which is dragged into the cancer cell by the maple syrup, being very alkaline forces a rapid shift in pH killing the cell. The actual formula is to mix one part baking soda with three parts (pure, 100%) maple syrup in a small saucepan. Stir briskly and heat the mixture for 5 minutes. Take 1 teaspoon daily, is what is suggested by Cancer Tutor but one could probably do this several times a day.
Hello Dr Sircus
My mother suffers from Diabetes Type I & II. Further, she has Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure.
At present she is taking Glimepiride 4mg tablets, Metformin 1000mg Tablets, Insulin Glargine injection.
She also has a nutropath who put her on Portulaca Oleracea(Purslane).
As a result of her symptoms, she suffers with severe pain in the muscles and joints.
Do you recommend Magnesium Chloride for her to drink with water?
or bath in it to relax her muscle soreness?
Many Thanks..
Dear Shadi,
IMVA recommends that transdermal magnesium therapy be used in ALL cases of diabetes where there are healthy working kidneys. Bathing in magnesium chloride (Ancient Minerals Bath Flakes) will do much to relieve her muscle and joint pain as will massaging the areas with magnesium oil. A few sprays in water will also help especially if she is very deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is one of the most important minerals to increase when diabetic. It will help to control blood sugars, and it will decrease insulin resistance in the body. Over 50% of diabetics do no get enough magnesium, in fact get less than half of the recommended daily dosage.
Hello Dr. Sircus
I believe my family and I have been exposed to high levels of radiation. We are in need of a protocol. I have a six year old daughter that I am quite worried about. What can we do? I tried to tell my local hospital but they don’t take my concerns seriously.
Dear Rocco,
.Dr. Sircus has a protocol for radiation exposure in his book Nuclear Toxicity Syndrome. http://publications.imva.info/index.php/e-books/nuclear-radiation-ebook.html
You can also find some essays on this on our blog site and on the Radiation site: http://imva.info/index.php/radiation-medicine/
Start there and if you want a private consultation with Dr. Sircus send an email requesting that to [email protected]
I have been applying transdermal Magnesium since the beginning of the year, applying pretty well every day and leaving on my skin for about 1 hour before jumping under the shower.
I have high blood pressure and have been taking some beta blockers to get it down from 170/180:100 to 140:85
These knock me out even to the extent of being dangerous to drive. No statins and no aspirin derivatives.
My arteries a pretty clear as shown with a heart catheta check with no blockages and ultra sound of neck arteries showing very little coating. However, the heart valve is leaky – about 20% and the heart wall has thickened as a result of the high blood pressure.
Using transdermal magnesium from Zechsal ( a source in Holland) over 9 months has not made much difference to the blood pressure.
Cholesterol levels in the blood are within normal limits and have got better since applying magnesium. Triglycerides 117 mg/dl HDL 52 mg/dl Cholesterol 212 mg/dl. Sugar 95 mg/dl
I am 67 years old 1.88 m tall and with 105 kg about 15-20 kg overweight. I don´t drink coke and use sea salt.
What else can I do to get down my BP?
I have read your transdermal magnesium and Heart Health books, the latter being an E-book download, as well as other magnesium books.
I would most appreciate your comments.
Thanks you
John Brailsford
PS
After reading your transdermal book I also had my mercury filling removed of which there were three.
JB
Dear John,
The best thing you could do right now would be to try to lose the excess 15-20kg of weight. You might also try some of the other supplements that assist in weight loss. Excess weight iis one of the primary reasons for elevated blood pressures in older adults.
Consistent exercise is also helpful in controlling blood pressure, and even walking can help. Other dietary changes might also make a difference. Are you one of the salt sensitive individuals? If so you might consider cutting back on salt and processed foods.
Dear Claudia
Thanks for your response and I agree the next step to be weight loss. I get a reasonable amount of exercise on the golf course 3 or more times per week walking the course, but since I got older I have found losing weight difficult. I have avoided weight loss supplements as I understand they often promote muscle loss. What should I look for on weight loss supplements so I don´t choose one with muscle wasting properties?
Thanks
John
John,
Try getting on the iodine protocol and if you also take vitamin C (but at different times of the day and at least 2 hours apart) I hear that excess weight will be lost due to increase in metabolism.
The recommendation I read about was to take 2-4 GM of Vitamin C per day and 1400 mcg of iodine (this would be about 5 drops of nascent iodine in a glass of water)per day. I would avoid the weight loss supplements currently advertised. Our bodies can all use the iodine and vitamin C.
We have not personally tried this, so if anyone has please let us know.
Claudia
I have been taking a glass of water with 1/2 teaspoon sodium bicarb with 6-7 squirts of transdermal magnesium chloride and a couple of drops of Lugols 7% iodine in the morning and the bicarb and magnesium in the evening without the iodine.
Local water does not have chlorine but a very small amount of flourine which seems to be natural. I live in Salzburg, Austria.
I have been doing this for a couple of weeks now and also check my ph which generally comes out at 6+
I also take Vitamin C with an interval but it seems to be ascorbic acid and not the “whole” vitamin C as recommended for which I have not yet found a source in Austria.
Should I continue like this?
I had my prostate removed almost 6 years ago using a robot with minimum invasive surgery. PSI < 0.01 since then. I was absolutely astounded to read of the prostate cancer cure with sodium bicarbonate.
Best wishes
John
John,
It is best not to mix the iodine, bicarbonate and magnesium chloride. Take them at separate times in water.
Thanks Claudia
Will take separately and revert in a few weeks when I see how my weight loss is progressing.
John
Dear Dr. Sircus:
My daughter has been diagnosed with lymphoma in several places including spleen. She is 54. She had a spinal puncture and everything is clear. She starts chimio on the 15th. Can she take sodium bicarbonate and maple syrup before and/or after chemio?
Dear Yolanda,
She really needs to be on Dr. Sircus full cancer protocol before going for chemotherapy.. Please read the Sodium Bicarbonate book. or request a consult with Dr. Sircus for more information.
A friend of mine tried various treatments for prostate cancer including freezing and radiation therapy, none of which worked and he was finally operated on to remove the prostate.
Since then his psa keeps going up.
He get pills from his Dr to take it down again but I guess there is some form of metasasen (?) in his body.
Would you recommend the sodium bicarbonate therapy in this instance? There is an example of curing prostate cancer in the Sodium Bicarb book. Would this be a good protocol to follow?
Thanks in advance for any advise you can give.
John
Dear John,
Dr. Sircus’ protocols for cancer would be of great help to your friend, even if he’s already suffered the effects of radiation treatment. Dr. Sircus’ protocols for cancer include the baking soda treatment you read about, but also include the use of magnesium chloride, medical marijuana and iodine. Please ask your friend to read up on these treatments on our sites or perhaps he will want a personal consultation to determine his specific dosing schedule.
I had xray done two years ago and they said I have a calcified blood vessel at the base of my right lung. There was no treatment required because they said it is not a disease but it bothers me still.I dont feel anything unusual and the intern who was at the clinic said that it resolves by itself in time.I was just wondering if you think magnesium oil can help get rid of it.thanks.
Dear Christine,
Yes, use of magnesium oil and possibly sodium thiosulfate can help get rid of the calcium deposit.
See: Calcification and its Treatment with Magnesium and Sodium Thiosulfate: http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/calcification-and-its-treatment-with-magnesium-and-sodium-thiosulfate/
I was suggested this website by my cousin. I’m not positive whether or not this post is written through him as no one else understand such special about my trouble. You are wonderful! Thank you!
My father various treatments for prostate cancer including freezing and radiation therapy, none of which worked and he was finally operated on to remove part of the prostate.
George
Dear George,
there has been an ongoing debate among doctors about this PSA test. Many now believe that it is too often relied upon and causes unnecessary and unneeded treatment to be performed, putting people at even more risk. http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/01/opinion/brawley-prostate-cancer-screening/index.html
Yes, its never too late to get started on this baking soda protocol and Vernon Johnson’s method with sodium bicarbonate and molasses is what Dr. Sircus recommends…iit does not require heating if you use molasses (black strap) and it has more nutrfients than maple syrup.
Please note that Dr. Sircus also recommends magnesium levels be kept up.
dear aditya,
your mixture of sodium bicarb and maple syrup needs to be gently heated. If you use blackstrap molasses no heating is necessary and the same ratio of 3:1 molasses to sodium biarb can be followed.
