My mothers; foster mother never missed a meal every day; without drinking a 2 cup ( enamile ) of baking soda water after her meals. She lived to be 80 yrs without any medications. I believe that she succumbed to a heart attack & likely had she known about magnesium she would have made it a few more years. She was born with a lymphatic disorder called elephantitis from the neck to her toes so she had many challenges. She was a year in age behind the current year at the time of her passing. We are so informed for quite some time because of doctors like Dr Sircus what a blessing. Thank you for the news & wonderful information. Ellen

Dear Lasse,

You have numerous issues to deal with and all can be helped with Dr. Sircus’ protocol, but you will need to obtain a personal consultation as we cannot deal with all of these on this imva site.

In general I can tell you that we have seen the evidence that iodine can help reduce nodules of oall kinds in the body and even in the thyroid …. but the thyroid or nodule can swell and increase in size if selenium levels in your body are not adequate. These kinds of effects are not seen when selenium is properly supplemented.

Magnesium would be important for the inflammation issues you have and may also be very important in calming the effects of the Tourette’s Syndrome.

Hello IMVA

I have a thyroid nodule on my left thyroid. I was at the hospital in November last year and had some tests done, and they told me everything my hormone levels were normal, and the FNA turned out fine. I also did a scan with radioactive iodine and it was cold. they want to remove the entire left side of my thyroid, and I am very much against it, and I have been trying to find alternative ways to deal with it. I have always eaten a pretty good diet, but when i got the message i cut out all diary products, refined sugar, reduced carbs. I even did a juice detox and a 3 days water/coconut faste. I have had acupuncture, and that didn’t help either. Nothing so far has helped, I have known about Iodine, but i have heard that it can both be good and bad to start taking Iodine, as the Nodule can swell up and get larger. Is this information correct?. Will i be able to correct my thyroid issue with a supplement of Iodine, as I am willing to do everything to avoid having my thyroid taken out. I also have a degenerated disci in the cervical area c5-c6, and i did some checking on it and it turns out that this is where the place where they thyroid is controlled, so I suspect that there are several reasons for it, but the hospital did want to discuss it with my they just wanted to do what they did best, to remove it.
I also have Tourette Syndrome in a mile degree, but I still think that that is due to some deficit too, and there might be a connection.

So my question is, what would you recommend? Thanks for your help, and sorry that my post got so long

Dear Loida,

You can probably cut the amount of maple syrup down to a 2:1 ratio of maple syrup to bicarbonate. When I attended Dr. Simoncini’s seminar in Florida on his methods of treating cancer, he was of the belief that the sugar, which is gobbled up by cancer cells, was what would draw in the bicarbonate behind it to do its work of destroying the cancer cells. Being a diabetic myself I questioned him about this effect on a diabetics metabolism and he stated that the blood sugars should be watched and treated if necessary, but that the calories for energy were needed (especially in people with cachexia and late stage cancers), was temporary and would be stopped when treatment became effective, and should not be the primary concern at this time.

We havent seen too much in the way of results concerning diabetes when this is followed and some people have stated here that the maple syrup is not necessary and can be omitted altogether.

You really need to consider having a personal consultation with Dr. Sircus to determine what is best for you at this time.
